| If it was the IAF that chose those fatal targets in Beirut and its heavily populated civilian environs, resulting in most of the 1,000 Lebanese fatalities, with little-or-no advantage to Israel, then the IAF and its arrogant commander were indeed culpable, just as Ya`alon maintains. Moreover, it made the whole misadventure far more hazardous for the regular IDF fighters... |
