| A pre-strike would be dangerous,divisive, and causing more serious long term terrorism at a grass roots level among the civilians.The clean up required afterward would be long, expensive, dangerous, with repercussions lasting for generations. (Like in Lebanon: huge civilian casulities causing groups like Hebollah to deal with) Bombing by Israel, will draw us into the war, which the Israels have no long term goals other than just bomb. (assuming this goes perfectly) They are relying on the U.S. to get involved after we get shot at, and for us to deal with OUR troops on the ground, not theirs. Israel knows U.S. can`t leave Iran, rich in oil, open to the Russians, and are expecting the Americans to foot the bill. No thanks. Let`s negotiate directly and apply more painful sanctions. Let us be clear on who pays for the whole package if Israel chooses to disregard us.Let`s make it clearer by more politians publicly, our position on this one. |
