Title:Knesset Opens new school to train Parliamentary Aides

I was delighted to hear that the Knesset is working on opening a school to train parliamentary aides. Training parliamentary aides is actually key to the development of democracy anywhere in the world. Legislative Aides are the pivot around which every lawmaking activity of the legislature revolves. They are the engine room of the legislators and the success of any legislator can be linked to the efficiency of his legislative Aide.
It is in realisationof the above that I have selected a few legislative Aides in Nigeria to come together and see how we can contribute to the process of lawmaking in the ultimate interest of developing democracy in Nigeria. The group is called the Parliamentary Aides Network. We are parnering with donor agencies to seek ways of building our capacities to perform our duties better. We are looking at ways of parnering with institutions like the one to be set up in the Knesset in the ultimate aim of building democracies worldwide. Thank you.
