I still believe in it, in my heart. All the arguments the Right espouses - Jordan is Palestine, there is no Palestinian nation, Judea and Samaria are the heartland of the Jewish people, a PLO state will only be a hotbed of terror, Abbas doesn`t control Hamas, etc. - are all true.

But they`re also all irrelevant from a pragmatic standpoint. Because the most overarching dilemma Israel faces is the demographic threat from Arabs within green-line Israel and in the territories. Eventually, the day will come when the Arabs will stop paying lip-service to the idea of two states for two people and will start rallying South Africa style for one-man, one-vote. A Palestinian Martin Luther King without a bloody history and implore the international community for equality and recognition. And then what will Israel say to a world that is already vehemently predisposed against it? How will we have any chance of
