The headline should read `Wife of HIV carrier...` Your article does nothing to educate until halfway through, don`t panic people, educate them, especially considering this seems to remain a taboo subject in Israel and the Middle East.
With regards to the story rape is wrong in any culture and therefore if guily the punishment should fit the crime, but thankfully for the victims HIV is no longer a death sentence and can be controlled with a combination of drugs.
Education and awareness aswell as preventive action is the only way to eradicate a disease, not prejudice and panic, next time Ha`aretz think about the way you promote the issue. |
