| This writer is not biased against Mr.Hartwell, however his musings are dead wrong. The USN has entered the Black Sea with the sole intention of disturbing a sleeping bear. Sevastopol is the home port of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, this port is an enclave on Ukrainian sovereign soil.Russia again has handed out thousands of passports to the residents of Sevastopol. The unprecedented appearance of the US Navy in the Black Sea has caused untold and unnecessary actions by the Russian Federation. The port of Tartus, will shortly undergo a major overhaul, similar to what the US Navy has done in Bulgaria. Russia feels insecure and so has budgeted for extending its presence in the Mediterranean and further afield. The Middle East will heat up, so will the Caribbean and be sure this all came about because of Georgia and Americas direct or misguided role vis a vis,.. the Georgia fiasco. |
