| Let`s see, Russia renovating the Syrian port of Tartus. With intentions to have long-term presence in Mediterranean. Hmm.... Tartus is the same naval location where a N. Korean registry vassal unloaded materiel and crew. Which were used in the construction of Syrian military facility bombed by Israel in Sept. 2007. Intelligence satellite imagery spotted the transfer, which became the basis for alarm. Don`t want to speculate, but there`s something fishy in them waters. Russia supposes it`s advantageous instead of returning to the Black Sea. Yeah, opportunistic but for who.... an updated port will have capacity for new military transfer. Guessing, satellite code name Big Bird will need to train it`s focus more intensely. |
