| if Russia and China put "defensive" missile systems in Cuba, Canada and Mexico? I suspect that you would feel the same way the Russians do at this very moment. BTW, based on the Bush Doctrine of preemptive attack, Russia is well within its rights to take out those missile bases anytime they want. Note that the US is using the Bush Doctrine today to attack Pakistan. If the US can freely attack anywhere it wants for "defensive reasons," then so can Russia and China. I think that Russia should point out the Bush Doctrine to the countries in Europe that have signed up for the missile systems and remind them that it applies to all countries now, not just the US. Even Israel can do the same thing, but of course, since it is a lot less powerful than Russia, it will probably get whacked hard in return. |
