It doesn`t surprise me why Inuits, and other native peoples look to Israel as a point of departure. We are first and only nation that had the chutzpah to defy history and return to our Homeland, the one from which we were exiled, the one from which we were dispossed, the one the Imperialists claim that it "is theirs" forever.
It`s obvious that the West equivocate when they related to the Jewish State. Take France, for instance. A little over a hundred years ago, the Savoyards thought they would either be part of the new Kingdom of Italy, or autonomous and guess what? The French took them over, as well as much of what we know as "French Riviera". Add to that, Corsica, Britanny, and let`s not forget the Basques.
Even the Danes still hold on to Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
What I tell ya`. The Jews of the world are troublemakers because we never give up, though I am not sure about the current leadership in the Knesset. |
