Besides that of the ME Iraq and Afgan conflicts in which USA is centrally involved, a lot has also changed within the psyche of the US people since Sept. 11th, regarding the realization of the dangers of fundamenalistic regimes that want to have your nation destroyed.
But I adamantly reject your point of view that the USA is predominantly responsible for the miseries of Afghanistan and Iraq. Unless you want 100000000 Bin Ladens attacking your country, the US had little choice but to enter her forces into the quagmire of the Middle East. But the Afghan fire was raging long before the US got involved. The brutal Iraqi regime of Saddham Hussein lost millions of lives in their war with an equally brutal neighboring regime of Iran. Today 99% of deaths in Iraq are because of Sunni radicals killing Shiites, or Shiite radicals killing Sunnis, which really is a more localized replay of what happened between Iran and Iraq not so long ago. Blaming the US is just simply wrong. |
