| All it will take is a dismantling of the anti-terrorist systems set up by the Patriot Act and other Bush administration policies. When all is said and done, (and the Obama campaign stops this recent foolishness of attacking Sarah Palin and goes back to running against George Bush) Obama will win and will have a huge majority of liberal democrats in congress. One of the first things that will be done (just read Mike Friedman`s #3 post, for example) will be the establishment of the ACLU as a "vetting" authority for security measures. When (and NOT if) Bin Laden and Al Queda test Obama to see if he is a typical "cut and run" US president, there WILL be a repeat of a 9/11 type attack, and it seems unlikely to me that US security forces under an Obama administration will be able to stop it. The aftermath of such an attack will determine the history of the next decade. |
