Newageblues, isn`t it funny (or rather tragical) that the Independents today have become the biggest voting block in the U.S., but probably 80 - 90 % of them will vote for either McCain or Obama on election day....
My sense of logic would tell me that if you are not happy with the way the 2 big parties have conducted themselves, you are going to give a third party candidate a chance, especially if you have some good choices both on the left and the right (Nader, Barr etc...).
However, I must say that I was positively surprised that CNN was willing to give Ron Paul and Ralph Nader 8 minutes (during Wolf Blitzers "situation room") yesterday to make their point.
In any other Western democracy that would be a matter of course, but for the U.S. that`s a pretty good thing I would say.... |
