Israel may have all the trappings of a democracy but it functions far more like its enemies than it would like to admit. The slow monopolization on utilization of land by Jews only has squeezed the minority christian and muslim arab citizens of Israel to a breaking point. Lieberman`s comments are merely the continuation of a century of Zionist efforts to segregate and differentiate based on tribal allegiances. The likes of Lieberman have never been interested in building a plural and diverse democracy where reasonable laws apply to all. |
