| 1. Strawberry sundaes 2. Freedom of speech (but only for average citizens, not the politicians on Capitol Hill). 3. Peaceful driving on U.S. Highways, in sharp contrast to our European attitudes.... The most negative thing about the America of 2008 from a Swiss Democrat point of view (and which wasn`t mentioned in Tom Segevs other- wise good analysis): The ongoing discrimination of third parties in the U.S. (especially by the "mainstream" media). The second most negative thing (from a "Swiss nose" point of view) about the America of 2008: The "smell" in (too many) U.S. motel rooms...:) |
