Pamela, perhaps naively, Arab Palestine had been considered a given... For a couple of centuries families and dynasties of Palestinian Arabs had inhabited and sprung deep roots in Palestine. They inhabited towns and a multitutde of small villages spread througout what is now Israel... and the dregs of which can still be discerned in our burgeoning country, if we look closely enough. Modern history of the Jews/Israelis has justifiably taken over a very large chunk of Palestine, as our own ancient heritage, and which the western world fully condones. The least we can do now is to acknowledge the takeover, and agree to fair partition of what is left over... To obfuscate and deny is no solution... |
