While Solzenitzen is a decent philosopher (all of his ideas were anticipated by Rabbi Dessler and other Mussar leaders), Peres is a politician, and an egoist. They share one thing in common: both write novels -- Peres` book on the Middle East being a prime example.
Perhaps Peres should dedicate what remains of his life to his religion (somewhat he apparently abandoned so many years ago) and also to freeing Jonathan Pollard, who was imprisoned, apparently, and sentenced to life in prison, after Peres decided to sell out. |
