The idea that Israel can be oil free within 20 years is a fantasy unless there is some amazing new technologies developed within the next 20 years but electric cars ( which will take years to catch on ) and even an end to oil fired power stations will reduce oil consumption but not end it.
A country as small as Israel then fully electric cars are viable and although not practical for a country like the US it could be seen as a model which the rest of the world will look at and it will encourage the use of hybrid cars and the more people use them the more the price comes giving momentum to the desire to come off oil which will reduce the influence of the arabs.
Israel is allredy investing in new power stations of verious types so electric cars are viable and if these cars are built in Israel it will lead to alot of new jobs.
Win win for Israel and an example to the rest of the world it can be free from expensive arab oil. |
