Bradley, I think there`s an eighth way this election could prove vitally important re Israel: the significant risk that during next administration, Palestinians may drop their plea for Palestinian state, and instead embrace ?1 person, 1 vote? claim for ?one state solution.?
As Ive posted elsewhere, we know that McCain, Obama and Biden all represent the traditional Clinton/Reagan bipartisan consensus on Israel (Palin is another story): "peace-processing" plus with deep commitment to special relationship, esp. on qual. military edge and support against attacks before UN security council.
But to defend the Jewish democracy against the dangerous ideological attack of one-state-ism will require an American supporter that can speak not just at home, but around the world. McCain/Palin will not have international friends. Only Obama/Biden can be trusted to make and win this crucial fight for Zionism`s intellectual and physical survival. |
