Title:I wear my kippa in remembrance of George Khoury

I was not a Jew then. After my conversion, I must keep the commandments, including that one that refers to remember the God`s Presence and Providence upon my head. I am a Jew by choice.

Before my conversion, wearing a yarmulke was difficult. People asks you in the street in order to gather to complete a minyan (the required quorum to pray). I used to avoid praying in an unknown synagogue in order to prevent the mistake consisting in being counted there as a Jew.

I decided that my kippa showed my attachment to the Jewish people. Walking in Jerusalem, Jews are glad to see people with their kippot. And, more important: terrorists don`t get confused.

The terrorist Yasser Arafat said: "He [George Khoury] is a martyr of our cause." His mother stood before the terrorist during the funeral, in Jerusalem, and said, loudly and clearly: "My son is an angel."

George Khoury and his mother deserves this member of Am Yisrael wearing his kippa.
