| is this another means of witholding land in the west bank? profitable land? a sudden rush to develop these sites which it can then attempt to retain for the "security" of foreign tourists. is it another means of denying the palestinians the benefits of tourism? just like what was done in bethlehem... by making it physically inaccessable to tourists except through israeli owned tour companies that provide "day trips" by bus from jerusalem, which has essentially strangled its tourism based economy? why would israel be pumping money into these "west bank" tourist attractions if it doesn`t have EVERY intention of keeping them? WHY DOES MY HAIR STAND ON END EVERY TIME I READ SOMETHING LIKE THIS! |
