Pver 900,000Jews were and still are being kicked out of Arab countries, most of them going to Israel. The descendents of those who came in 1947-48 make up over half of Israel`s population. Descdents of Arabs have not been allowed citizenship in the countries they fled to, even though they had been asked to stay by Ben Gurion.
Poverty exists in Israel as in other countries, I worked in a soup kitchen in Jerusalem on my last visit there. Jews help each other in time of need (even send assistance to other nations) How much does Saudi Arabia help the poorer Arabs in Israel? And there is great wealth as well as poverty among them, much of it from drug trade with Hizbullah. |
