The denials that already populate this talkback are only to be expected becuase so many people have their heads in the sand on this issue. No one claims that Israel is perfect or that charges of anti-semitism are made incorrectly all too often, but no can can seriously deny the rediculously outsized attention and critique that Israel draws, which contrasts so sharply with the silence that surrounds issues involving far more human suffering than the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Anyone who can`t recognize that much of what passes for criticism of Israel or Zionism is indeed racism, has his or her head in the sand. Jack and David, that includes you, apprently. |
