Syria can`t have both. If President Bashar Assad intends to continue to play footsie with the Revolutionary Guards, Hezbollah, Hamas, and half-a-dozen other terrorist organizations, then he`s not going to get the Golan Heights back. Peace means peace; it does not mean that after an Israeli withdrawal Syria allows every Islamic terrorist organization on the planet to use the Golan Heights as a rocket-launching pad to shoot at Israel while Syria says, "It`s not us. We have no control over these foreigners." Peace also means that Syria cannot continue to give material support to terrorist organizations abroad which are at Jihad with Israel without violating the peace. Syria needs to decide on which side of the river that she`s on--the side of civilization or the side of terrorism. |
