WAIT!!! Israel must tell the Syrians that peace must come first with the Palestinians, then hand over whatever part of the Golan they want.
Let`s face it Syria wants the Golan so badly that they will do the simple things like, exchange ambassadors, and sign a piece of paper. But they also might be peruaded to pressure the Palestinians to accept less than the 1967 borders, like Barak`s plan, maybe absorb the Palestinian refugees in Syria, give them citizenship, etc..
We have to use the leverage we have and don`t throw it away for nothing. |
