Hence Biden was chosen. Catholics, in large part because of hispanic migration, are getting an even bigger voice than ever before. Whether we are talking about Pennsylvania, Indiana or Chicago and Michigan, all (and ohio) have large Catholic populations, this is the key. As for Jewish-Catholic relations, they could always be better, but hey, more Jews live in Catholic countries (Argentina, France, Germany, Italy, etc) than anywhere else, so we should all learn to live together, in our homeland AND in Israel.
