It`s hard to get an idea of what is going on when Hamas is not quoted directly. It would seem to be a time to barter and move forward, rather than dragging feet further. Even if Hamas accepted fewer prisoners, or changed the list, this round of talks should be followed by others with the possibility of other releases or a loosening of the noose around Gaza.

Better to get something moving for everyone`s benefit than to go home grumbling about the other side - yet again.
