The IDF was vastly over rated when they took the war to Hizbollah in 2006, and they had to withdraw from close combat when their tanks proved vulnerable. The IAF is far more over rated than the IDF ever was. They IAF has rarely, if ever, been shot at. Their targets are almost always nearby and undefended. An IAF attack on Iran would be more dangerous to itself than to Iran.
