Instead of whining about our differences and mutual hate, why don`t we teach baskeball to those who WANT to know about basketball.
When a player shoots a foul shot from the free throw line, it makes no difference whether the player is a girl or a boy, a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian, a child an adult or a Martian. If the ball goes in, it`s one point. That`s all - one point.
And if the same player tosses the ball in from behnind the three point line, the team gets three points. Again - no matter whether the player has eight hands and comes from Jupiter, is a mitnachel, an Arab resient of Shechem -- it`s three points -- no more no less.
On the other hand, there is an issue as to whether I`m willing to play together or against certain players. I want to play in a game where the rules are observed by both sides. If my opponent`s sole purpose is to commit intentional fouls. I would prefer that he play in his own league far away from here. |
