| That sums it up, you can be a financial power even with all its oil revenue they cant compete with Saudi Arabias small population & oil reserves in the region even Iran can only ever be be one of the many rich Gulf States not an economic regional superpower. To be considered a superpower you need to have neuclear weapons. Iran has been going all out on its attempts to be a conventional military power which again they cant compete because Israel & the arabs are using either superior American or European technology Irans weapons are either Russian, Chineese, reverse engineered North Korean or in the case of their new jets the F5 an American jet from the 60s no match for the F15s and F16`s or the Typhoon Eurofighters the arabs and Israel use. The Iranian designed tanks are junk compared to the Abrams & Merkava. They have chemical weapons but so do at least Syria and Egypt. Only neuclear weapons will give Iran the muscle it needs to be a superpower. |
