| I live in France, where all day long I hear ads on the Jewish radio about solidarity missions for Israel, send your kid to study in Israel, charity dinners for LIBI, only a few hotel places left, book your Eilat vacation quickly, and even the weather report always includes Israel. All this support is not cheap, but French Jews are very enthusiastic Zionists. But Israelis feel, as usual, if they like us they must be losers. Compare also attitude to American making aliyah, and SLA people in Israel. There are about 600 000 Jews in France, and about 300 000 tourist visits a year from France to Israel. Would Israelis prefer them to go elsewhere? |
