Right now Gaza is simply am economic and political leach on Israel. Anything that would lessen such a burden should be welcomed. If Egypt wants to take responsibility for Gaza then by all means let them. If that means Israel needs to build a better fence on its Sinai border then it should do so.
It would also be welcome to see Palestinians who need to leave Gaza for whatever reason do so though Egypt, there is no reason Israel should let them into their territory.
If Hamas in Gaza ever want to start talking seriously about peace agreement with Israel then maybe I will change my tune, until then Egypt could Annex them for all I care. |
