this is the second Rosh Hashanah where Hamas "re-starts" its negotiations with Israel. Hamas tries to pull on Israeli heartstrings who envision Shalit at home, with his family, for the Jewish new year. Hamas makes it seem as if a transfer is inevitable. instead, Israelis and the Shalit family are left with more sadness and wounds, and Israelis hate Hamas even more.
