That Lebanon did not want to make them citizens does not mean that Israel has a moral obligation to resettle original surviving 48 refugees and all their friends and relations--when you think more than a minute it`s hard to believe Abbas is seriously negotiating over these issues when he continues to issue these statements. Apparently the report that he was willing to resettle returnees in the Palestinian territories (that could be done unilaterally) are no longer, what`s the term, "operative". |
