the parents agony as they wait for their son is not only a part of the shalit family, but has also been a part of the ongoing agony of the thousands of families in gaza and the west bank.
israel cannot force the palestinians to accept them by the gun, killings , arrests, closures, land grab..... but israel needs the pals acceptance if it is to live in peace, but arrogance prevents israel from understanding this fact which is the core to any peace.
drop the instance on a one sided peace... make a fair deal... and peace has a chance. |
