| I`ve just read your story of 5 March on Bruno Schulz. I`m amazed you could print that Schulz`s mural were discovered by a Ukrainian peasant. The murals were discovered by a German film maker, Benjamin Geissler, working with his father, Christian, who had studied Schulz`s work for many years, and Polish art conservators. Haaretz reported all this quite clearly in your article of 04/07/2005, entitled "Yad Vashem not displaying Bruno Schulz Holocaust art." It is bad enough when a nation loses its memory! But even more disturbing when an intelligent newspaper loses its memory. |
