| This is a bad deal Israel is making here. What the US is providing is a radar detection system and those things dont shoot down missles. Israel allready has radar detection systems this would just be an extra but the difference is that Israel will have just surendered its freedom to carry out military operations it belives are in Israels best interests. We for various financial insentives over the years have sold away allmost all soverignty over foreign policy. We have given the US a veto on who Israel sells domsticly produced weapons to. Now we are about to sell the last bit of soverignty left and thats the freedom to defend ourselves this time for the sake of the US mounting a radar station in Israel. Israel isnt an independent state anymore its become a puppet on a string with America pulling the strings because we have allowed ourselves to become so relient on them. |
