israel went into Iraq and took out Osirak.....alone...and succeeded.
Iran`s nuclear facilities are a tougher nut to crack due to the much greater distances and the more spread out nature of Iran`s facilities.
However, taking out Iran`s facilities isn`t a war. It`s a surgical strike, much like Osirak was a surgical strike. Saddam was much more powerful then than Iran is now. It would have been much easier for Iraq to strike back at Israel then...but Iraq didn`t. The Mullahs and Ahmadinejad seem to be full of a lot of hot air....or nitrous oxide...going to their head. I really doubt Iran would strike back...overtly, at least...and covertly or through proxies like Syria or Hez would be a failed option for them also. |
