| Neither the US nor Israel has the capability to successfully wage a war against Iran. The only current capabilities are to launch a first strike. Neither country is prepared to deal with the aftermath of such a first strike. Though the US has greater capacity to cope with an aftermath, it would still end up with lots of dead Americans and no resolution. The wiser course is not to initiate a war.
