Gideon Levy, Haaretz Correspondent: In the Georgian capital Tbilisi, only El Al planes dare to land

Good grief. This is one of the silliest articles I have read on this site. Israelis seem to have penchant for puffing out their chests.

It all sounds so brave. Israel is the only country willing to land a plane in the recently bombed airport. It sounds so brave, except for the small fact that the Russians didn`t bomb the airport, and two International Red Cross planes landed right after the El Al plane landed.

The article says all the other airlines had closed shop, as if this is supposed to a legitimate contrast. Was brave El Al conducting normal operations? No. They were not operating as a commercial airline, but were on a special mission.
