| Practically every Palestinian has been arrested or humiliated at least once. Israel with or without the help of PA police can arrest or even kill any Palestinian in the sacred Land. Sheik Yasin was killed cold blood style after he finished his morning prayer. Israel prisons are full with prisoners, women,men old, young and even youth. To release 200 for Abbas or 5 children for BK Moon would not change much. Hamas is asking for more than 1000, including the elected PM`s arrested by Israel when Soldier Shalit was taken prisoner, as well as Marwan Bargouthi, women, and children. Bargouthi`s release is a humiliation to Abbas. The arrest of the MP`s was an insult to democratic values. But Israel is above the law until further notice. If Israel long arm cannot get Shalit out and soon, then Israel will make a deal and release all the prisoners Hamas wants. Arafat should initially have secured the release of all prisoners and the protection of his people in the Oslo deal. He choose not. |
