| Peter is again lieing. It is true that Hizbollah(not "Lebanon") did eventually fire missiles into N Israel. But that`s not what started the war. Hizb kidnapped 2 israeli soldiers prompting a savage & sustained assault from Israel. For 8 days the IDF bombed civilian areas (like the airport, hospitals, schools & bridges)in fulfillment of their threat to "take Lebanon back 20 years". All the while Lebanon & Hizbollah pleaded for a cessation (but were informed that Israel didn`t negotiate with "terrorists").After the eighth day of bombardment Hizbollah sent the first retaliatory missile. So tell me why are you lieing about Lebanon`s bombardment of N.Israel provoking the war. Anyway Ohlmert has already explained that the Israeli onslaught was pre-planned with the IDF awaiting the slightest pretext before launching the hugely disproportionate attack on Lebanon. I am a Lebanese who is hugely resentful of Hizbollah but I cannot let your lies go unchallenged. |
