| I think many of the posters forget just how badly the Soviet Union oppressed Poland from 1939 - very recently. The Soviet Union joined with Germany in attacking them in the beginning of WWII, and after pushing out Germany occupied them very brutally until a few years ago. It is not surprising that they have problems with people who were part of the oppressors. Would you expect them to feel any better about them than they do about people who cooperated with the Germans - their other oppressors? |
