A very unrealistic approach!
We need Russia more than Russia needs us,let`s be crystal clear on that,they are the energy superpower and they will do in their backyard whatever they want to,no matter what the West says.
Seize Russian property in the West ?
OK,so what if they respond by taking away British and American holdings in Gas and Oilfields,what if they nationalize all the industry car plants etc.,remember they can switch their energy exports easily to China and substitute the Western consumers while we are on a verge of a recession that is going to be worsened by the increase of Oil prices this kind of actions will provoke. The German industry poured tens of billions of euros into Russia building car plants etc.,are they willing to abandon the most important consumer market in Europe for Georgia?
We need to recognize that Russia is back on the World stage and that it will sooner or later annex Belarus,Ukraine and Georgia and there is nothing we can do about it. |
