You are right peace can be achieved at any time the Palestinians decide they want it. Thus far they have rejected peace.
Israel has proved with Jordan and Egypt they want peace, they signed and honored these treaties for years, they gave up land and defensive positions.
Often we here from people like you "it`s the settlements", not the daily rocket attacks, not the antisemitic teaching in their schools, not the Hamas and PLO charters that call for the destruction of Israel, not the suicide bombings, not the glorification of a sick and perverted culture of death, where children are taught to grow up and kill themselves and take as many civilians with you (as long as they have committed the crime of being Jewish).
