| All, Yes, there is a Gaza truce but the seige has not been lifted. Hamas is still having to smuggle arms through tunnels and a skeptical Egypt has not opened the Rafah crossing. The Hamas re-arming scenario has not improved much for them from before the truce. Meanwhile, more diesel, cooking oil and food is going through without any improvement in the condition of the average Gazan. Hamas seizes everything that goes into Gaza. No sharing Hamas has won its first of many challenges to its inept policy in Gaza. The Helles clan was defeated but it was an indicator that unrest is active in Gaza. Meanwhile, Hamas found a large arms cached in the hands of the Helles clan. Where did it come from? Probably, Egypt. Not every smuggler is a Hamasnik. I predict that the truce will be broken by the Palestinians or civil war will break out between the Hamas militia and everybody else there. Either scenario will result in a resumption of the rockets but ultimate weakening of Hamas rule. |
