| Decades ago, when we had a strong, self respecting government, we sent our forces thousands of miles away to Entebbe, Uganda to rescue Israeli hostages. Nobody even considered the releasing murderous terrorists to ransom them. Shalit is being held a few short miles from us. Not in Uganda. We should rescue Shalit. Not release terrorist savages to ransom him. And that goes for every terror victim. If it`s impossible to rescue him, we should punish his captors so severely, they will long to free him. That is how self respecting nations act. Example: Upon the election of Ronald Reagan as U.S. President, Iran IMMEDIATELY released the U.S. hostages it had tormented for more than a year during the pathetic Jimmy Carter presidency. |
