My wife and I receive our Israel pensions, which are a totally inadequate.In addition we get partial UK state pensions which used to provide over 5000 shekels a month. Today they convert to under NIS4000,AND IT HURTS, dear `social worker`.
We both are lucky to be working part time but there is still a mortgage as well as all the other daily expenses.
There never was much fat and we don`t want sympathy, just acceptance that there is a problem. Don`t talk down to us as if were living in the lap of luxury just because we weren`t born in Israel.
We`ve been here over 30 years and we`re staying even if the belt will have to be seriously tightened. |
