| For years the UK government has failed to take a properly robust stance on Israel`s violation of international law in its support for the settlement enterprise. In fact, like the rest of Europe (Merkel and Berlusconi in particular), Brown (and Blair before him) have sought to cozy-up to the Israeli government ever more closely. So, now these British diplomats get to see the fruits of their government`s lack of moral integrity at close range. I hope they really gained an insight into the beast that their government has helped - through cowardice - to nurture. The Hebron settlers are the dregs of humanity but they are enabled by cowards in high places. |
