| Judging by the situation here in American Haredi schools, the real reasons there is better behaviour in Kodesh lessons [ not in Chol lessons] is a combination of a certain amount of violent, agressive behaviour by Rebbeim and very strong parental support for Limmudei Kodesh. Even in the most secular society if pupils know their parents really value education they will take it seriously.In many of our Haredi boys schools behaviour in secular subjects is abysmal because boys know their fathers don`t really care and their Rebbeim re-enforce this negative feeling. |
