| Option of Fatah rule in West Bank is none other than State Dept fiction and doesn`t exist in reality. Only factor keeping Fatah alive and preventing West Bank from being overran by Hamas just like Gaza is Israeli army. For West Bank Arabs, there are only 2 real options to pick from: (a) Hamas rule or (b) Jordanian rule. Accordingly the only realistic "peace" solution can be: Gaza: With or - if necessary - without Hamas, needs to be turned into a peace-and-prosperity oriented Singapore/Dubai-like industrial/commercial/logistic hub on Eastern Mediterranean. - W.Bank: Due to more complex geopolitics lasting settlement possible only as parts of W.Bank are federated with Jordan; safeguarding security and settlements for Israel, demographics for Arabs, holy sites for both. Any further "Palestinism" in narrow sliver, is recipe for none other than endless war, bloodshed and misery, not yearned-for peace! |
